NPK “Sharri”: Use of drinking water suspended in Poroj, Xhepçisht, and Reçicë

NPK “Sharri” Tetovë has issued a public notice regarding the quality of water in several rural communities. The analysis conducted on the water supply servicing the villages of Poroj, Xhepçisht, Reçicë e Madhe, and Reçicë e Vogël, including the area situated between Reçicë e Vogël and Reçicë e Madhe, has concluded that the water does not meet the established standards for potable use. Consequently, the use of this water for drinking purposes is prohibited until further notification is issued by the competent regulatory authorities.

It is crucial for the public to understand the scope of this announcement. NPK “Sharri” explicitly states that it is not responsible for the provision or management of the water supply within these specific villages. This is because these settlements are not connected to the main Tetova city water supply system, which is managed by NPK “Sharri.”

Therefore, the responsibility for the continued supply, maintenance, and management of the water infrastructure in these affected villages rests with the respective local administrative structures.

Residents are advised to rely on alternative, safe sources for drinking water until the water quality issue is resolved and official clearance is provided by the appropriate bodies.
