Blerta Deliu-Kodra, a Deputy representing the Democratic Party of Kosovo, has accused the acting Prime Minister and former LDK leader, Albin Kurti, of actively obstructing the functioning of Kosovo’s state bodies. Speaking to KlanKosova, Deliu-Kodra asserted that Kurti is deliberately impeding the normal operations of the country’s institutions and has shown no readiness for necessary periods of reflection. The deputy specifically addressed the proceedings of the Assembly, emphasizing that adherence to the established Rules of Procedure is mandatory for all participating deputies.
Deliu-Kodra characterized Kurti’s conduct as a sustained effort to undermine the legitimacy of the Republic. “The actions we observe from Mr. Kurti, his behavior toward the institutions, represent a multi-year campaign of delegitimization.
For several years, he has been making efforts to delegitimize the institutions of the Republic,” she stated. Deliu-Kodra further indicated that the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) intends to maintain its level of activity within the Assembly framework. Her statements frame the current political climate as one marked by procedural disputes and challenges to established governance norms.
The remarks underscore a deep political disagreement regarding the proper mechanisms for institutional oversight and stability within Kosovo’s political structure.
