Kërçeli expressed concern that the anticipated protest, which coincides with the commencement of the academic year, could lead to significant disruptions in the capital city’s communication infrastructure. The call for the demonstration originated from Rama, who cited the alleged seizure of municipal funds by the central government.
Specifically, Rama highlighted that the Kurti Government reportedly took over 344 million euros from local municipalities. In response, Kërçeli suggested that Rama’s promotion of the protest was an attempt to justify what he termed a “communication blockade.” Kërçeli stated that the residents of Pristina do not deserve the daily conditions they are currently experiencing under the mayor’s administration. Furthermore, the LVV deputy asserted that the citizens of Pristina did not vote for Rama to advance an agenda specifically challenging the authority of the central government.
