LDK Deputy: Consultations in the party are necessary for Bekim Sejdiu

Ermal Sadiku, a Deputy within the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), addressed the potential candidacy of Bekim Sejdiu for the presidency. Speaking during an appearance on “Debat Plus,” Sadiku clarified that his support for Bekim Sejdiu is contingent upon the official decision of the LDK. Sadiku stated that while he is familiar with Bekim and believes the candidate meets all necessary qualifications, his endorsement is subject to the consensus reached within the political organization.

He emphasized that for such a significant electoral matter, internal party agreement must precede any public stance. The Deputy stressed the importance of internal deliberation, noting that the topic had not yet been brought before the LDK Parliamentary Group. He asserted that consultation at the party level is a necessary prerequisite before any commitment can be made.

In summary, Sadiku framed his potential support for Bekim Sejdiu as being entirely dependent on the direction set by the LDK. His comments underscored that the party structure must first address the issue internally before any official position regarding the candidacy can be established. This focus on internal consultation suggests that the decision rests with the collective body of the LDK rather than individual members.
