Deputies from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and the Alliance recently held a protest in front of the Kosovo Government building. The demonstration aimed to demand the immediate constitution of the parliament and the restoration of functioning within the country’s institutions, according to reports from Ekonomia Online. The protest was attended by assembly members, municipal directors, and activists hailing from Viti, Gjilan, and Kamenica.
Valmir Sahiti, the Director of Youth, Culture, and Sport in Viti, addressed the gathering on behalf of the participants. He stated that the assembly was organized to voice deep concern regarding what he termed an “institutional blockade.”
Speaking alongside the parliamentary group of the PDK and the Alliance, Sahiti emphasized the need for governmental functionality. The demonstration highlighted the concerns of several political stakeholders who are calling for a return to normal parliamentary processes.
The protest underscored a unified call from these political actors for the proper functioning of Kosovo’s governance structures.
