Prime Minister Mickoski confirmed that the “7 Maji” High School will offer parallels in Albanian and other languages. Speaking on the matter, Mickoski stated, “Yes, yes, absolutely, there is no problem here. Naturally, if the conditions are met, this year there will be parallels where lessons will be held in Albanian.
There should be no challenge for any of the registered students, nor for their parents.”
Mickoski addressed concerns regarding the student enrollment at the institution. He noted that the interest in the school had been lower than anticipated. However, he added that the government had taken steps to lower the admission criteria.
Regarding the student body, Mickoski mentioned that out of nearly 453 registered students at the high school, 41 students identified as having a non-Macedonian ethnic origin were in the initial filter. The Prime Minister sought to clarify that this enrollment distribution did not indicate ethnic segregation. He emphasized that the primary requirement for passing the initial basic filter relates to student conduct.
Specifically, he stated that students passing the first basic filter “should have exemplary behavior,” rather than focusing on ethnic background. Mickoski’s assurances aim to reassure parents and students regarding the accessibility and linguistic diversity of the school.
