Murat: Qeverisja aktuale po bën diskriminim të vazhdueshëm ndaj komunitetit turk

Deputies affiliated with the European Coalition for Common Values (OCCV) and representing the OBRM-PDUKM, VLEN, and ZNAM groups have expressed concerns regarding alleged discrimination and unequal treatment within Kosovo. These deputies are responding to recent developments in the country, citing a perception of being treated as second-class citizens. Salih Murat, a member of the group, has been a vocal critic, advocating for the removal of deputies from their municipal positions and the immediate overhaul of the current institutional system.

Murat’s calls extend to a proposed amendment of the constitution, alongside the submission of reports from the Ombudsman and the national committee. Murat was previously sentenced to two years imprisonment related to these actions. The prosecutor’s office has since requested a harsher sentence.

Details surrounding the specific charges and the legal proceedings remain under review. The deputies’ statements highlight ongoing tensions and disputes surrounding representation and governance within the municipality.
