A competition has been announced for enrollment in secondary schools in North Macedonia.

The Ministry of Education and Science has released details regarding the enrollment competition for secondary schools for the 2026-2027 academic year. This significant competition provides access to over 25,000 available positions within the nation’s 109 public secondary schools. A substantial portion, exceeding 17,000 places, is specifically allocated for vocational training.

Approximately 6,000 spots are reserved for lyceums, while 570 are designated for artistic education programs. Students will participate in the process entirely online, utilizing the Uslugi.gov.mk portal. Access to the competition is facilitated through student accounts on schools.mk, providing a dedicated entry point.

Following this initial step, applicants must submit all required documentation directly to the respective schools. The registration process is structured in two distinct phases. During the June period, applications will be accepted from June 12th to 15th, followed by a second window on June 23rd.

For those registering in August, a single application deadline of August 20th will be observed. This competition ensures equitable access to secondary education across Macedonia.
