Son Attempts to Block Mayor’s Cemetery Access, Citing Business Rejection
Speaking to the publication, the son stated that his actions stemmed from the rejection of a location application in Dragodan Park. He explained that he emerged from military service and, through connections, was promised assistance by members of the AKR party who were previously in power. “I applied for a location in Dragodan Park to open a kiosk for families and those who were AKR in power promised to take me to the municipality and then rejected it,” he stated.
He claims the rejection was a deliberate act following repeated requests for support. The incident occurred as Mayor Carevic was visiting the cemetery to honor the fallen. Authorities were present and intervened to ensure the situation did not escalate.
Further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the permit application and the subsequent denial is ongoing.
