Exhumation of Sinan Dauti Remains Scheduled for April 18th

The Government Commission for Missing Persons has announced the planned exhumation of the remains of Sinan Dauti, who disappeared during the Kosovo War. The ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, April 18, 2026, at 13:30, at Upper Prekaz, within the Bregaj neighborhood cemetery. Sinan Dauti, born on June 17, 1990, and deceased on April 14, 1999, was a victim of the conflict.

He sustained serious injuries on April 12, 1999, as a result of an attack by Serbian forces. Following these injuries, Dauti died in Mitrovica two days later. The exhumation process is intended to formally identify and return the remains of Sinan Dauti to his family.

This event marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to account for all individuals missing as a result of the Kosovo War. The Commission will oversee the exhumation and subsequent procedures.
