Albanian Foreign Minister: Any concession to the security of Kosovo also harms Albania.

Albania Reaffirms Kosovo Security Link, Denies ‘Alliance’ Threat

Tirana, Albania – Albania’s Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha has emphasized that any threat to the security of Kosovo directly impacts Albania’s own security interests. Speaking to Top Channel, Hoxha responded to recent comments from Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who described the alliance between Kosovo, Albania, and Croatia as a threat to Serbia. Hoxha clarified that Albania’s foreign policy is fundamentally rooted in cooperation, fostering good neighborly relations, and supporting the European integration of the Western Balkans.

He indicated that Albania has opted against issuing a public response to repeated statements emanating from Serbian officials. The minister characterized the allegations of a “three-nation alliance” as false and significantly exaggerated. Hoxha asserted that the concept is entirely fabricated.

“Firstly, the claims of a so-called ‘three-nation alliance’ against Serbia are false and entirely exaggerated,” he stated. The comments underscore Albania’s continued commitment to the stability and security of Kosovo, highlighting a key element of the nation’s regional strategy. The focus remains on constructive dialogue and regional integration.
