Anti-Bizho Movement Expresses Concerns Over Draft Games of Chance Law
The Anti-Bizho Movement has issued cautious comments regarding the recently approved draft Law Proposal for Games of Chance, following the government’s green light earlier this week. Jushi Emërllahu, a spokesperson for the movement, stated that the proposal was not consulted with the Anti-Bizho Movement, the Government, or the Commission responsible for its drafting. “We have a reservation regarding the specifics of this law,” Emërllahu explained.
“While the draft removes the previously proposed 500-meter airspace restriction and now limits it to 500 meters, it does address schools and religious objects. We intend to review the full text before making a further statement.”
The movement plans to hold a press conference following a thorough examination of the law. Despite the lack of prior consultation, the Anti-Bizho Movement indicated it will continue to follow the law’s procedures as it moves through parliamentary procedure.
Emërllahu reiterated the movement’s longstanding demands, specifying a three-kilometer distance from residential areas as a key consideration. The draft law will now return to the parliamentary process for further review.
