Kosovo Official Appointed Chairman of EYOF 2027 Coordinating Commission
Last week, Besim Aliti, General Secretary of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, was appointed chairman of the coordinating commission for the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) Lignano Sabbiadoro 2027. This marks a historic first, with an official assuming leadership of a commission overseeing the organization of a major international multi-sport event. Aliti recently concluded a visit to Italy, observing the preparations for the EYOF, which will be held from July 24th to August 1st, 2027, in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
The event will bring together 48 countries and feature competition across 14 sports. The EYOF Lignano Sabbiadoro 2027 represents the largest multi-sport event for young people in Europe. As chairman, aliti will be responsible for monitoring the progress of the festival’s organization.
