Bexheti after the lawsuits: They have seen that I won’t stop, I won’t be blackmailed.

Blerim Bexheti Responds to Criminal Complaint, Denies Political Pressure

Sarajevo – Former Mayor Blerim Bexheti has issued a statement following the submission of a criminal complaint against him and another individual by police authorities. Bexheti asserted that the situation is a result of political pressure rather than a legitimate legal process. Speaking shortly after the announcement, Bexheti stated, “I don’t stop, I won’t be blackmailed.” He referenced a previous indication by Prime Minister Mickoski regarding potential criminal charges, stating that the Ministry of Interior’s subsequent action confirmed this assessment.

“Coincidence? No. This is pure political pressure,” Bexheti declared.

The former mayor highlighted concerns regarding the timing of the criminal complaint, noting that when political figures initiate legal action which is then dismissed by state institutions, it raises significant questions about the state’s operational integrity. Bexheti emphatically stated his intention to continue, adding, “Let them understand: I don’t stop. I won’t be blackmailed.

I won’t withdraw. These are attempts to silence my voice.”

The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected as the legal process unfolds. Bexheti’s response underscores the contentious nature of the situation and the allegations of political interference.
