Bove revealed that José Mourinho made a point of contacting Bove’s parents following the frightening cardiac arrest that occurred during a Serie A match between Inter and Fiorentina on December 1, 2024. The incident took place during the first half of the game.
Bove has since fully recovered after the cardiac arrest, which occurred while he played for Fiorentina, where he was on loan at the time. The player collapsed on the field and was urgently transported to a hospital. He was admitted to intensive care and subsequently received an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD).
The ICD is a device that monitors his heart rhythm and delivers an electrical shock if it detects a dangerous arrhythmia. This technology has been crucial in preventing further cardiac events.
