The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation (MINTI) initiated a focused investigation today, working alongside the Central Market Inspectorate, to resolve consumer concerns about electricity meters. This action followed a series of reported complaints. Specifically, meters displaying inaccurate time readings were identified during the field assessment.
As a direct result, these problematic meters have been immediately removed from service and dispatched for thorough verification by the Kosovo Metrology Agency. According to a formal announcement, the preliminary meter evaluations are anticipated to conclude shortly. The ministry intends to disseminate the findings to the public as soon as possible.
Furthermore, the Department for Consumer Protection within MINTI is actively encouraging citizens to submit their electricity meter complaints. Individuals are advised to contact the department through the designated official email address, ensuring they attach the pertinent meter number for efficient processing. This proactive approach aims to address the ongoing issues and ensure accurate billing for all consumers.
