Coalitions are frozen, appearing early for LVV, PDK hasn’t discussed it, LDK and AAK are silent

Kosovo Parties Remain Silent as Coalition Deadlines Loom

With just three days remaining before the deadline for exploratory coalitions, political parties in Kosovo have yet to announce any concrete decisions regarding potential alliances for the upcoming electoral race. The situation remains largely unchanged as of noon on Monday, with no finalized agreements reached. The Vetëvendosje Movement has stated that it is not yet the appropriate time to engage in discussions about potential coalitions.

Party leader Albulena Haxhiu emphasized that it is early to address the matter, asserting, “It is still early to talk about it.”

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party of Kosovo confirmed that its leadership bodies have not been convened to consider forming alliances. The LDK and AAK have not responded to inquiries regarding their intentions. The deadline presents a critical juncture for Kosovo’s political landscape, requiring parties to determine whether they will contest the election independently or seek to join existing or new coalitions.

As of Monday, the political scene remains quiet, with no formal exploratory coalition agreements announced. Çitaku clarified that the inclusion of a specific individual is not the central concern in these deliberations.
