Stip Educational Center Director Arrested on Suspicion of Abuse
The Ministry of Education and Welfare (MPB) has announced the arrest of A.Sh. (65), director of an educational center in Stip, on May 11, 2026. The arrest was carried out by officers from the Criminal Police Department of the Stip Serious Crime Division following a report of suspected abuse involving several underage students.
According to authorities, the investigation centers around allegations that Mr. Sh. engaged in prolonged physical abuse of students during supplementary lessons conducted at the center in Stip.
The initial report was filed by concerned parents alongside the students and representatives from the Public Institution – International Center for Social Work Stip. Following the report, a court order authorized searches were conducted at Mr. Sh.’s residence and the educational center itself.
During these searches, items were seized for forensic analysis as part of the ongoing criminal investigation. Mr. Sh.
was taken into custody at the Stip police station following the completion of initial documentation related to the case. Further legal proceedings are underway as authorities continue to investigate the allegations against the former director and the impact on the affected students. The investigation is being handled by the criminal division.
