Kosovo Parliament Speaker Urges Deputy Participation in Extraordinary Session
Kosovo Parliament Speaker Albulena Haxhiu has issued a call to parliamentary groups to ensure the full participation of deputies during the commencement of an extraordinary session. Recognizing the significance of accepting the request for the session, Haxhiu stated she has suspended all other commitments to prioritize the parliamentary process. “It is important that the deputies are present and that we proceed with the session,” Haxhiu affirmed.
The speaker highlighted that the session’s initiation requires the presence of its proposer. Haxhiu indicated that unless opposition representatives, such as Vlora Çitaku or Ganimete Musliu, or any other opposition deputy, voluntarily address the subject matter, the session’s commencement is contingent upon full parliamentary attendance. Emphasizing the critical function of the Parliament and the necessity of uninterrupted institutional operations, Haxhiu underscored the importance of maintaining momentum without delay.
The focus remains on ensuring the successful continuation of the session with the involvement of all deputies.
