Eleven Drivers Arrested for Reckless Driving in 24-Hour Period

The Ministry of Interior (MPB) reported that eleven drivers were arrested and subsequently deprived of their liberty over the past 24 hours due to reckless driving incidents across the country. Nine of the individuals also had their driver’s licenses revoked. Police officers responded to multiple reports of dangerous driving behavior.

Nine of the drivers were apprehended for operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license. Specifically, three violations occurred in Skopje, two in Tetovo and Struga, and one each in Prilep and Kumanovo. One driver in Prilep was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and another in Skopje was apprehended despite having an active driving ban in place.

Following the completion of thorough investigations and documentation of each case, formal charges will be filed. The MPB emphasized the ongoing commitment to enforcing traffic laws and ensuring road safety. These actions were taken as part of efforts to deter dangerous driving behaviors and protect public safety.
