Albin Kurti, the leader of the Self-Determination Movement (LVV), conducted consultative meetings on Friday with prominent political figures as part of the ongoing efforts to establish new institutional structures following the recent parliamentary elections. During these engagements, Kurti met with Bedri Hamza, the leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), and Lumir Abdixhiku, the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). Following his meeting with Hamza, Kurti characterized the discussion as constructive, although he indicated that no definitive agreement had been reached.
“Currently, I cannot say that we have any concrete result or anything achieved,” stated Kurti. However, he expressed optimism regarding the political process. “But I hope that this spirit of constructiveness prevails and, in line with the constitutional deadlines, we manage to constitute the institutions and give the Speaker of the Parliament, the Prime Minister, and the new President,” he added.
The meetings underscore the current political focus on forming the necessary government bodies and leadership positions in Kosovo. Kurti’s discussions with key political leaders like Hamza aim to move the country toward constitutional governance following the electoral cycle. The commitment to achieving institutional formation remains a central theme in the political dialogue involving the leader of the LVV and other major parties.
