Four prosecutors were appointed to the Organized Crime Prosecution Office.

The Public Council of Prosecutors has recently bolstered its efforts against organized crime. On March 27, 2026, at 4:48 PM, the council appointed four new public prosecutors to the Organized Crime Prosecution Office. These individuals – Engjëllushe Kadriu-Leshi, Aleksandar Markovski, Ana Gogovska-Jakimovska, and Ana Stojkoviq-Dimitriovska – were chosen for the Public Basic Office for the Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption.

This selection followed a competitive process involving eight applicants vying for five public prosecutor positions within the office. Notably, Trajçe Pelivanov and Artan Ajro withdrew their applications, leading to their exclusion from consideration. The Public Council undertook a thorough review of all submitted materials.

Ultimately, the council did not proceed to vote on the candidacies of Marija Gorgjieva and Valentina Bislimovska. The appointment of these new public prosecutors represents a significant step in the ongoing fight against organized crime and corruption, reinforcing the council’s commitment to justice. The newly appointed prosecutors will play a crucial role in investigating and prosecuting complex cases within the office.
