In 2025, a total of 8,183 traffic accidents were recorded across the country, according to data released by the Ministry of Interior Affairs. Of these incidents, 114 resulted in fatalities, 870 led to severe bodily injuries, and 3,390 caused moderate injuries. An additional 3,809 accidents resulted solely in material damage.
The accidents impacted a total of 6,847 individuals. Specifically, 132 people died, 1,010 sustained severe injuries, and 5,705 experienced minor injuries. Analysis of the data indicates that despite ongoing efforts and implemented measures, traffic accidents remain a significant public safety and social concern.
The number of accidents with serious consequences is particularly noteworthy.
