During his participation in the “Antalya Diplomatic Forum 2026,” Foreign Minister Timço Mucunski underscored the critical role of Corridors 8 and 10 for regional development and economic sustainability. Addressing concerns surrounding geopolitical uncertainty and evolving global supply chains, Mucunski emphasized the significance of regional stability and sustainable initiatives. “North Macedonia’s strategic location between Europe and the Euro-Asian space positions it as a key contributor to advancing infrastructure and transport connectivity within the region,” Mucunski stated.
He specifically highlighted Corridor 8, noting its importance as a vital east-west link connecting the Adriatic and Black Seas. Mucunski stressed the necessity for the complete realization of Corridor 8 and the associated railway connection with Bulgaria. He believes this infrastructure development is crucial for bolstering economic prospects and facilitating trade.
