The Inspection Directorate of the Gjilan Municipality has initiated an operation focused on eliminating unauthorized advertisements in public spaces, aligning with its dedication to upholding law enforcement and maintaining urban order. This initiative aims to address instances of unregulated signage throughout the area. A significant advertisement was recently removed on “Mother Teresa” Street, situated close to the Pristina Road in the city’s central district.
The operation extends to encompass the removal of numerous other advertisements found across diverse zones within the municipality. Inspectors took proactive steps on March 13th, implementing warning tapes and notices on the advertisement pillar. These measures clearly communicated the potential repercussions for the advertiser should they fail to comply with regulations.
Subsequently, those responsible for installing the advertisement proceeded to remove it themselves. According to information provided by the municipality’s office, this ongoing action will persist until all unauthorized advertisements are successfully eliminated. The inspectors are diligently working to ensure adherence to regulations and maintain a consistent standard of urban presentation.
The goal is to ensure all advertisements are removed.
