The Greek government is launching a pilot program offering financial assistance to individuals seeking to transition to electric vehicles in Kosovo. The initiative aims to support the development of the Kosovo electricity market. The program provides a one-time compensation pass covering the cost of electricity for the next year, reflecting the shift towards an energy mix incorporating renewable sources.
Participants can choose from several vehicle options with varying price points. For individuals, the program offers a 25,000 euro subsidy for applicants and a 35,000 euro subsidy for guarantors. Specific vehicle costs are as follows: a scooter at 30 euros, a motorcycle at 30 euros, a car at 35 euros, and a zone vehicle at 60 euros.
The overall scheme will be priced at 75 euros annually for participants. The price for car users will be set at 50 euros annually. This pilot program represents a key step in encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles within Kosovo and contributing to the modernization of its energy infrastructure.
