Opposition Party Claims Gruevski Holds Hungarian and Serbian Passports
Skopje – The opposition party, LSDM, has announced it has received information indicating that former Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski currently holds both a Hungarian and a Serbian passport. According to LSDM representatives, this development suggests support for Gruevski from political figures in Hungary and Serbia, specifically Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. The party contends that the Mickoski government’s inaction regarding a new extradition request for Gruevski is a deliberate strategy to provide the former prime minister with extended protection.
They argue that while other nations, such as Poland, have responded swiftly, Mickoski is deliberately delaying action. “The refusal to pursue extradition allows Gruevski to operate with impunity,” stated an LSDM spokesperson. “This suggests a concerted effort to shield Gruevski from legal proceedings.”
The LSDM further criticized the current government’s lack of movement, asserting that VMRO-DPMNE is actively preventing Gruevski’s return to Macedonia.
The party maintains that the situation highlights a clear intention to protect Gruevski and his continued presence within the country.
