Haradinaj Pays Tribute to Victims of Korisha Massacre and Meha Family

Prizren, Kosovo – Chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, issued a commemorative statement honoring the victims of the Korisha massacre and the circumstances surrounding the death of the Meha family. The statement focused on the ongoing remembrance of significant events in Kosovo’s history. Haradinaj specifically referenced the 1996 massacre near Prizren and surrounding villages, where 77 civilians, including 14 children, were killed.

He reiterated the AAK’s continued condemnation of the violence and the lack of accountability from the Serbian state regarding the events at Korisha. “We remember today the 77 brothers and sisters killed in the massacre of Korisha near Prizren and surrounding villages, where invaders spared no one, not even 14 children on this side,” Haradinaj stated. The statement also marked the 45th anniversary of the deaths of Tahir and Nebih Meha in Prekaz.

Haradinaj’s remembrance serves as a continued call for justice and recognition of the suffering endured by the Albanian people following the events near Korisha. The AAK chairman emphasized the importance of acknowledging these historical tragedies and holding those responsible accountable.
