Speaking before the session, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo leader, Ramush Haradinaj, outlined Vetëvendosje’s strategy regarding the presidential selection. He emphasized that VV possesses a defined plan, specifically advocating for the Assembly Speaker to serve as the interim president.
“It seems VV has a meticulously crafted plan,” Haradinaj explained. “They desire Albulena Haxhiu to function as the temporary president… Discussions or consultations can only begin once we have a designated temporary president.”
Haradinaj further noted that there has been no substantive advancement in the process, highlighting the critical connection to the anticipated timing. “There is no progress; it’s clearly linked to the timing, with the 5th of May anticipated for the Speaker Haxhiu to hold the position,” he stated.
