Hyundai Launches Ioniq 3 Electric Vehicle in Europe

Hyundai has introduced the Ioniq 3, a compact electric car specifically designed for the European market. The vehicle shares design similarities with the high-end Genesis GV60, but is notably smaller in stature, representing a distinct offering from the manufacturer. A key feature of the Ioniq 3 is its integration of Hyundai’s new Pleos Connect infotainment system, marking the first vehicle on the continent to utilize this technology, according to reports.

The Ioniq 3 is built upon Hyundai’s E-GMP 400 volt architecture and employs a single motor positioned at the front. Notably, the vehicle lacks a front trunk. The Standard Range model produces 147 horsepower and is equipped with a 42.2 kWh battery, providing an estimated 213 miles of range based on European WLTP testing.

The long-range variant offers increased capability with a 61.0 kWh battery, achieving a range of up to 308 miles. This model delivers 135 horsepower and exhibits reduced performance compared to the Standard Range. The Ioniq 3’s design prioritizes efficiency and range within a compact footprint.
