Man Wanted Internationally Arrested in Albania Following Murder Sentence
The State Police announced Tuesday the arrest of a citizen, identified as A. A., who was wanted internationally for extradition to Kosovo. The arrest followed the culmination of an operation aimed at securing his return for prosecution.
A. A. was previously sentenced by the Basic Court of Pejë to 11 years and 6 months imprisonment for the crime of “murder.” This sentence remains active, with approximately 9 years and 8 months remaining to be served in prison.
During the arrest, authorities discovered suspected forged identification documents. Investigations revealed that A. A.
had also utilized the aliases Naser Muja and Ded Dedaj, as reported by euronews.al. The operation was the result of international cooperation between Albanian and Kosovar law enforcement agencies. The State Police highlighted the significance of this collaboration in facilitating the apprehension of an individual wanted in connection with a serious crime.
