Iranian Judiciary Chief Warns of ‘100% Readiness’ Amidst Potential U.S. Attacks
Tehran – Iranian Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei has asserted that Iran must maintain “100% readiness” in response to potential new attacks from the United States. The statement, released via video by Iranian state media Fars, follows recent events including the downing of an Iranian-operated drone and the ongoing tensions in the region.
Ejei indicated a “strong possibility” of further attacks, stating that the U.S. has not yet achieved its objectives despite the recent loss of several high-ranking Iranian officials. He emphasized that Iran remains prepared for any escalation.
Specifically, Ejei addressed the confiscation of an Iranian-flagged cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman on Sunday, characterizing the action as a “violation” of the existing ceasefire. The Iranian government is seeking the immediate release of the vessel and its crew, which were taken into custody by U.S. forces.
“Blockade for which (the U.S.) is speaking is undoubtedly…” Ejei reportedly stated before the video concluded. The comments from Ejei underscore Iran’s heightened security posture and its continued concerns regarding U.S. actions in the region.
The situation remains volatile, with ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation.
