The Qeveria, or government, has been fined for exceeding the permitted 18% limit on oil derivative taxes. The total fine amounts to 20 million eurosh, contributing to the national budget. Minister of Finance Hristijan Mickoski announced the decision.
Following the breach, Zoran Duke has been suspended from the Parliament. Additionally, the chairpersons of the committees within the LSDM and BDI parties have also been suspended. The 10% fine applies to both the Qeveria and the committees associated with the LSDM and BDI.
Mickoski stated that the government has already addressed previous outstanding payments, and this represents the initial reimbursement of 20 million eurosh, followed by a second payment of 20 million eurosh.
