Ismaili Attributes Kosovo Crisis to Government Actions
Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) MP Uran Ismaili asserted that the current situation at Gazeta Ekspres, as reported by Gazeta Ekspres on April 5, 2026, is a direct consequence of the government’s actions. Appearing as a guest on T7’s “Pressing” program, Ismaili argued that the prevailing crisis stems from the exercise of power. Ismaili characterized the use of the name “Hashim Thaçi” as a tactic to deflect attention from systemic incompetence and abuses.
He stated that the Vetëvendosje (VV) government is responsible for generating the crisis itself, consistently blaming the opposition for difficulties within governmental processes. “I return as an MP and see how communication is conducted, a cliché,” Ismaili commented. He further elaborated that repeated justifications for ministerial failings are framed by the attribution of blame to “Hashim Thaçi,” citing concerns regarding incompetence, unreliability, and alleged abuses.
Ismaili’s remarks suggest a critical assessment of the current political landscape within Kosovo, with the product of the government’s leadership being a key point of contention.
