Israeli Retaliatory Campaign Follows Hezbollah Soldier Killing in Lebanon

Following the killing of an Israeli soldier by Hezbollah, Israel has initiated a retaliatory operation within the Lebanese state. The Lebanese Ministry of Health has reported casualties and injuries resulting from Israeli strikes in multiple locations. At least eight individuals have been confirmed dead as a result of the attacks.

In the city of Jibchit, located within the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon, four people died and nine others sustained injuries. According to the Ministry of Health, the fatalities included two children and a woman. Furthermore, thirteen individuals were injured in the city of Toul, also in the Nabatieh district, including three women.

The attacks in Toul resulted in the deaths of three individuals, alongside 13 injuries, with five children and four women among those injured. The Ministry of Health continues to assess the situation and provide updated figures. The operation underscores the ongoing tensions between Israel and Hezbollah following the soldier’s death, attributed to a Hezbollah drone attack.
