Isufi: AAK has achieved its goal in the formation of the state

Isufi: AAK Successfully Shaped Kosovo’s State

Kosovar Alliance for the Future (AAK) board member, Ahmet Isufi, reflected on the party’s 26th anniversary during a discussion on Klankosova.tv. Speaking about the party’s origins, Isufi asserted that AAK has successfully fulfilled its primary objective: shaping the state of Kosovo. Isufi explained the rationale behind the Alliance’s formation, which occurred on May 2nd, 2000.

He described the political landscape at the time as characterized by two dominant forces. The Democratic Party of Kosovo, often linked to the legacy of the Kosovo Liberation Army, represented one pole, while the Democratic League of Kosovo advocated for a peaceful political process – the second. “The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo was created as a political subject to navigate this complex situation,” Isufi stated.

“The intention was to bridge these differing approaches and ultimately contribute to the formation of a stable and representative state.”

Isufi’s comments highlight a key milestone in AAK’s history and its ongoing role in Kosovo’s political development.

  1. “It’s reassuring to hear AAK believes it has achieved its goals for Kosovo’s state formation.”
