Kabashi: LVV sought submission from the PDK, he lamented this matter permanently.

Kabashi Rejects Vetëvendosje’s Reported Demand for LDK Submission

Kosovo Democratic League (LDK) leader Festim Kabashi has strongly criticized Vetëvendosje (LVV), stating the party reportedly sought submission from the LDK concerning the ongoing presidential impasse. Speaking on T7’s “Pressing” program on April 29, 2026, Kabashi declared that “that must be forgotten permanently.”

During a discussion with Driton Hysen of LVV, Kabashi questioned the party’s motivations, highlighting the LDK’s prior engagement and agreement to participate in discussions. “It is an insult to the intelligence of Kosovar citizens to suggest willingness when it was not present,” Kabashi stated.

He emphasized that the LDK will not concede to any demands. “Submission cannot be given to anyone – not to you, but to no one,” Kabashi asserted. The LDK leader underscored the party’s own electoral base and the importance of maintaining independence.

“Because we in the LDK also participate in elections and have our own voters, but to submit to VV must be forgotten now and forever.”

The comments come amid continued negotiations regarding the selection of a new president in Kosovo. The discussion centered around Kabashi’s reaction to reports of LVV’s actions.
