Kasami: City of Tetovo’s Sports Hall Returns Under Municipality Control

Tetovo Sports Hall Returns to Municipal Control After Years of Legal Disputes

Tetovo’s historic sports hall, constructed in the 1980s, has been operating as a commercial space for nearly a decade, despite being the only facility in the city meeting standards for international and first league sports events. The hall, with a capacity of approximately 5,000 seats, has remained largely unused for sporting activities. Following protracted legal battles, the Tetovo Municipality, led by Mayor Bilall Kasami, has now secured full control of the facility.

Kasami stated that all previous legal challenges have been resolved during his tenure at the Tetovo Municipality. “After almost five years, the legal battles have been won, and the sports hall has returned to the Tetovo municipality,” he confirmed. The municipality is currently developing a project for the reconstruction of the sports hall.

Plans are underway to restore the facility to its intended purpose as a venue for sports. The return of the hall marks a significant step for the city and its sporting ambitions. The facility represents a key resource for the city, and the municipality intends to fully utilize the sports hall for its original purpose.
