The Kosovo police recently executed the Operational Plan “Joint Action Days – JAD Global Chain 2026,” an initiative that ran from June 8 to June 12. This operation was conducted in collaboration with several international and local bodies, including EUROPOL, INTERPOL, and FRONTEX. During the operation, law enforcement personnel conducted thorough checks across various public spaces, including live music venues, massage centers, streets, squares, and commercial centers.
A primary focus of the effort was the identification and protection of individuals who might be victims of human trafficking. According to the police report, 59 live music venues were inspected, resulting in the identification of 426 people. Of those individuals, 186 were citizens of Kosovo, and 234 were foreign nationals.
Furthermore, the police reported that six venues were found to be closed, and an additional nine venues were shuttered due to administrative violations identified by the MINT Inspectorate. In parallel efforts, 62 massage centers were checked by authorities. The inspection of these facilities identified 104 people.
The coordinated action by the police across these different sectors underscores a sustained effort to maintain public safety and combat illicit activities within Kosovo.
