PDK Official Urges Prime Minister Kurti to Take Responsibility
Vlora Çitaku, the vice-chairwoman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDK) and an MP, responded directly to Prime Minister Albin Kurti, urging him to “calm down” and address governance concerns. In a statement, Çitaku criticized Kurti’s approach, stating, “Prime Minister, calm down.”
The PDK official questioned Kurti’s ability to represent the entirety of the Kosovan electorate. “Despite the capture of institutions, Kosovo fortunately is not solely yours,” Çitaku wrote.
“How will you explain to the people that they give 51% of the votes that you do not want or cannot govern?”
Çitaku further challenged Kurti’s proposed offers to the LDK and PDK, which were previously rejected. She indicated that the prime minister would receive a “deserved answer” from the public. “Either he governs, cooperates and gives direction to Kosovo, or he leaves the road,” she stated.
“Or he leaves the road and leave us with complaints, crises and childish games at the expense of citizens.”
The statement concluded with a demand for decisive action from the prime minister.
