The Central Election Commission (CEC) is continuing the tabulation process for the votes cast by the diaspora in Kosovo. To date, the commission has finalized the count from 28 ballot boxes originating from various municipalities across the country. Preliminary data indicates the distribution of the votes received from abroad among the major political parties.
According to the initial figures, the Vetëvendosje Movement has garnered the highest proportion of the votes counted thus far, securing 7,146 votes, which represents 69.50 percent of the total votes tallied. The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) ranks second, having received 1,762 votes, accounting for 17.14 percent of the counted votes. The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) secured 662 votes, equating to 6.44 percent of the total.
Furthermore, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) has been reported to have received 496 votes, representing 4.82 percent of the votes counted from the diaspora. These preliminary results suggest that, based solely on the diaspora participation, the Vetëvendosje Movement is projected to achieve 51 seats in the Kosovo Assembly. The CEC continues to monitor the counting process to ensure all votes received are accurately tabulated as the full count of votes in Kosovo is completed.
