Mickoski Assures Public of Stable Oil Supply Amid Increased Demand
Skopje – Prime Minister Hristjan Mickoski addressed public concerns today regarding potential disruptions in oil supplies, stating definitively that there are currently no disruptions in the availability of oil and oil products for both citizens and the national economy. Mickoski affirmed the situation concerning gasoline and kerosene is stable, and highlighted the ongoing communication between state institutions and their suppliers. According to the Prime Minister, there are currently no indications of issues within the supply chain impacting either consumers or businesses.
He emphasized the availability of reserves held within state depots, alongside operational connections to the oil pipeline, specifically referencing the utilization of capacities in Thessaloniki and OKTA. Mickoski acknowledged a rise in fuel consumption, noting that on certain days, increases have reached up to 30 percent. He attributed this surge to increased demand.
“We are closely monitoring the situation and ensuring adequate supply,” Mickoski stated. “Our strategic reserves, coupled with the operational pipeline connections, provide a robust buffer against fluctuations.” The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining stability in the oil market and addressing the elevated consumption levels.
