Skopje – MP Jovana Mojsoska of the “Left” party delivered a strong critique during a Permanent Investigative Committee session focused on the Protection of Liberties and Citizen’s Rights. Addressing the committee’s annual report on funds allocated to victims of violent criminal acts for 2024, Mojsoska expressed deep concern regarding what she described as “institutional collapse.”
The report, according to Mojsoska, highlights a critical failure: no compensation was disbursed to victims of violent criminal acts throughout the year. She argued that the allocation of funds – significantly less than those designated for maintaining bridges in Skopje – represents a profound disregard for those affected by violence.
During the session, Mojsoska emphasized the intended purpose of the compensation mechanism, which is to provide support to victims.
