Albanian community parties in Kosovo are reportedly projecting the potential distribution of seats within the Kosovo Assembly following the September 7 elections. These projections are subject to change, as the final tabulation of votes, particularly those from the diaspora and conditional votes, has not been completed. Preliminary results indicate specific outcomes for several ethnic community groups.
The Serb List, representing the Serb community, garnered 6.18% of the votes, totaling 43,071 votes. This performance is anticipated to secure the party nine seats in the Assembly. In a separate development, Nenad Rashiq and his associated party secured one seat, based on preliminary figures.
This result came despite reported pressure from both Serbia and members of the Serb List, with his party receiving 0.76% of the votes, or 5,285 votes. Beyond these major blocs, the Turkish community, represented by the KDTP, received 0.77% of the votes, accumulating 5,337 votes, which translated into two deputies. Furthermore, the Bosnian community’s “Vakat Coalition” registered 0.55% of the votes, amounting to 3,810 votes.
The analysis of the votes suggests a varied political landscape. While the Serb List appears positioned to gain a significant number of seats, the performance of smaller community parties highlights the distribution of the remaining votes across various political affiliations. The final count of seats will depend on the full inclusion of all outstanding votes.
