Nissan is planning to reduce the price of its cars for the Trump tariff

Nissan has outlined its production plans for vehicles in Mexico and the United States, announcing a strategy that includes no production costs for vehicles produced as part of a Mexican government social program. The company will also manufacture cars in the United States, though production costs will be elevated compared to its Mexican operations. Nissan has revised the pricing for the Sentra and Kicks models slated for production in Mexico.

The Sentra will be priced at $22,600, while the Kicks will be available for $22,430. The automaker intends to offer a range of models with prices starting at $2,500 and reaching $3,000 for the highest-priced versions. These plans follow a statement from President Donald Trump, who criticized the projected cost of producing vehicles in the United States, deeming the price “too high.”

Nissan’s move to produce vehicles in both Mexico and the U.S.

reflects a broader shift in the company’s manufacturing strategy. Further details regarding production volumes and specific features of the models are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
