State Police Conclude “Rastet” Operation, Disrupting Illegal Gambling Networks
The State Police have concluded Operation “Rastet,” resulting in the seizure of multiple illegal gambling operations within the Milot and Lac regions. The operation was initiated following intelligence provided by the General Directorate of the State Police. During the course of the operation, three locations were identified and secured as sites for unauthorized games of chance.
These premises included facilities equipped with vehicles and poker tables. One of the locations was found to be involved in the distribution of narcotics. A total of 15 vehicles, three poker tables, and suspected quantities of cocaine were seized as part of the operation.
Additionally, law enforcement recovered significant amounts of cash and equipment utilized in the illegal gambling activities. As a result of the operation, three individuals were arrested. A fourth person is currently undergoing criminal proceedings, while a fifth is being held.
Authorities continue to investigate the network and its associated individuals. The operation underscores the State Police’s ongoing efforts to combat illegal activities and maintain public safety within the affected areas.
