BDI Deputy Leader Osmani Visits Brussels to Address EU Concerns Regarding North Macedonia’s Future

Bujar Osmani, the Deputy Leader of the Besa Demokratike (BDI) party in North Macedonia, traveled to Brussels to meet with European Union officials and discuss concerns regarding the country’s trajectory. Osmani’s visit centered on two key issues identified by integrists as detrimental to North Macedonia’s future. Speaking to TV21, Osmani highlighted what he described as “disappointing” developments.

These included concerns over a potential disruption to North Macedonia’s path towards EU membership, a deterioration of bilateral relations, and what he characterized as violations of the fundamental principles outlined in the Ohrid Peace Agreement. Osmani emphasized that the breach of the Ohrid Peace Agreement and the stalled European route represent critical factors impacting the well-being and security of North Macedonian citizens. He expressed hope that these issues would prompt a heightened focus from the European Union, aiming to prevent further negative developments.

The purpose of the meeting in Brussels was to directly communicate these concerns to EU representatives, seeking to underscore their significance and advocate for a renewed commitment to North Macedonia’s European aspirations.
