Peci Warns of Instability if Peace Agreement on Security Board is Not Approved

Kosovo, April 16, 2026 – Analyst Lulzim Peci has expressed concern that the approval of a security board agreement by the Kosovo Parliament could jeopardize the country’s stability. Speaking on RTV 21, Peci highlighted the potential implications of the agreement’s failure to pass. He argued that the disagreement could directly confront the United States administration.

Peci raised concerns about the ongoing debate surrounding the potential withdrawal of American troops from Europe, including Kosovo. “If someone is playing this game, then we must see what is happening with us and then talk about sovereignty,” Peci stated. He cautioned against prematurely discussing Kosovo’s sovereignty while the future of American troop presence remains uncertain.

Peci’s comments come amidst ongoing discussions regarding the security board agreement and its potential impact on regional security dynamics.
