Pendarovski: BE-ja now does not have enough money for the first component, so we are going to ask for a loan from the bank.

North Macedonia’s President Stevo Pendarovski stated that the country is actively developing components necessary for future European Union membership, suggesting the timeline for accession remains relatively short. Speaking at the “European Union: Unity and Challenge” debate, Pendarovski addressed ongoing discussions surrounding the structure and composition of the EU. While the precise number of participating parties remains unresolved, the core of the conversation centers on North Macedonia’s readiness to integrate further into the European Union.

Pendarovski emphasized that the process is progressing and anticipates North Macedonia will be prepared to formally join the EU in the near future. The debate itself focused on the broader challenges and opportunities presented by the European Union’s continued expansion. Pendarovski’s participation highlighted North Macedonia’s commitment to aligning with EU standards and contributing to the union’s overall framework.

He addressed questions regarding the evolving political landscape within the European Union, acknowledging the ongoing discussions about the number of member states. However, his central message underscored the continued development of North Macedonia’s capabilities and the anticipated progression toward full EU integration.
