The North Macedonian Ministry of Interior reported on March 27th, 2026, at 5:20 PM, that police officers from the Tetovo Border Police apprehended Z.G. (53) in Bërvenicë, Tetovo, following a prior arrest warrant issued by the Ohrid Border Police. This action concerned suspicions related to the criminal offense of “murder,” specifically outlined in Article 123 of the Criminal Code.
Earlier that morning, at 8:24 AM, the Ohrid Border Police alerted authorities to the discovery of K.M. (76) at his residence on “Nada Fileva” street in Ohrid. The individual was found deceased with no apparent signs of life.
A public prosecutor initiated an investigation at the scene, and a medical examiner from the Rapid Medical Service subsequently confirmed the death. Following the examiner’s confirmation, and upon the prosecutor’s instruction, the body was transferred for a full autopsy. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding K.M.’s death is ongoing.
Authorities anticipate that a comprehensive report will be prepared once the case against Z.G. has been fully clarified by the police.
